Sales Manager – Enterprise Content Management

Orienge is currently seeking a Sales Manager (“SM”) to lead a team of Conterra enterprise and consultative sales representatives and associates on a national scale.  The SM role will be at the heart of Orienge and Conterra’s success and report directly to the President & CEO. The SM will lead a talented team to deliver exceptional sales growth. The SM will manage sales in North America, developing and adapting strategies & processes for different territories within North America. The appropriate SM candidate must be a seasoned sales leader with a proven track record. The candidate should possess strong interpersonal and leadership skills, have strong business acumen, be capable of strategic thinking, and have deep analytical skills. This position will be located in New York City, NY.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Participation with openness and coach-ability in Conterra and sales process training
  • Attain ultimate proficiency in Conterra and the Conterra sales process
  • Generating revenue from national customers via the staff of sales representatives and associates via direct sales with Orienge’s specific target customers
  • Conduct the role of Sales Representative successfully
  • Develop strategic goals for sales team and tactical plans to achieve these goals (reports, quota setting, etc)
  • Work dynamically with team on the execution of these goals
  • Mentor and coach direct reports
  • Identify and escalate any operational, organizational, or product-oriented barriers that may impede the team success
  • Work with other departments coordinating efforts to streamline procedural issues
  • Identify areas of inefficiency and assist management team to develop and improve processes and procedures to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Meet and exceed pipeline activity metrics as set and measured on a monthly basis
  • Quote prices, prepare proposals/sales orders, and coordinate with the Orienge technical team
  • Utilize the Orienge executive team to support the sales process
  • Produce quota and monthly reports as required
Education/Work Required Qualifications

  • At least five (5) years enterprise sales and consultative sales management experience
  • Two (2) – five (5) years of successful enterprise sales representative experience
  • Proven track record of exceeding quota expectations in a business-business environment
  • Four (4) year college degree or equivalent
  • Some travel required

  • Familiarity with current technical architectures and Microsoft products (MS Office, SQL, Exchange, Outlook, Dynamics, Great Plains, client server architecture, etc)
  • Strong analytical ability and proven experience at converting data into actionable information
